Hyundai India is going to unveal all new small car in October, 2011. The information about the all-new small car is amlost out, it is based on all-new platform and nothing to do with the Hyundai Santro and i10. This car has been in talks from last year and it was codenamed as Hyundai HA H800. It will be sold as Eon in Indian market. Though no official annoucement has been made about the price range of Hyundai Eon Small Car but it is expected that it will be priced around Rs. 2,50,000.
Hyundai will be able to price the Eon below or around Rs. 2.5 lakhs because it is based on the platform of Santro, which costs very less to the company. The all new hyundai small car will be positioned below Santro and will compete with the likes of Chevrolet Spark and Maruti Alto. Eon will sport a 814cc 3 cylinder petrol engine which is expected to generate maximum power of around 55 Bhp and maximum torque of 75 Nm. The fully loaded variant of Eon is expected to feature power steering, front power windows, air conditioner, rear defogger, driver side airbag, ABS, body coloured bumpers, and remote levers for fuel lid and tail gate.
